San Diego, Calif. – April 28, 2009 - Verari Systems®, a premier developer of independent blade-based computing and storage platforms for the data center with the highest density, availability, and energy efficiency in the market, today announced that CRG West is offering its customers the capability to deploy Verari FOREST Containers in highly secure, protected CRG West data center environments. CRG West data centers in Boston, Los Angeles, and the San Francisco Bay Area now have the ability to monitor, power, and secure Verari FOREST Containers with maximum efficiency, helping IT managers facing infrastructure, space, or power supply constraints take advantage of Verari’s innovative portable data center technology.

“Traditional brick-and-mortar data centers are becoming an increasingly less optimal solution for many enterprise customers because of the rising costs associated with building and powering them,” said Mark MacAuley, vice president of Strategic Accounts, CRG West. “With the combination of CRG West amenities and a Verari FOREST Container that is delivered fully populated and ready to produce results, customers seeking an expedited and flexible data center solution can save precious resources while increasing efficiency and performance.”

Verari’s FOREST Containers house the BladeRack® 2 X-Series platforms in an industry standard form factor (40’ x 8.0’ x 9.5’). Over 2,000 servers or up to 13 Petabytes of storage capacity can be deployed at about 50% of the capital and operating expense of traditional brick-and-mortar data centers. Energy spending is dramatically reduced by the Verari FOREST Container’s ultra efficient power subsystems and patented Vertical Cooling Technology™, boosting reliability and performance. Verari’s FOREST Container was recently selected as a winner in the Energy Efficient Products: Facilities category of the 2009 Green Enterprise IT (GEIT) Awards, presented by the Uptime Institute and co-sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy.

CRG West amenities include usage-based power pricing, 24-hour remote hands and security, redundant emergency generator power, access to 200+ carriers and ISPs, and a convenient on-line customer portal that allows for real-time power use tracking from any computer with an internet connection.

“The Verari FOREST Container solution allows enterprises to maximize flexibility while cutting costs exponentially and boosting performance to new levels,” said Dan Gatti, senior vice president of Worldwide Market Operations, Verari Systems. “When combined with CRG West’s nationwide, ready to deploy data center capabilities, the results are immediate and the savings are significant.”
