Manufacturing Engineer Technician

Verari Systems, Inc. is the premier developer of powerful, flexible, and scalable platform-independent blade computing systems that are defining a new era in high performance utility computing for the enterprise data center is seeking a full time Manufacturing Engineer Technician.


Position Purpose

Under limited supervision performs analytical and diagnostic engineering tests; bringing processes into control and developing standard operating procedures.


Scope and Responsibilities

The Engineering Technician is responsible for having all necessary build documentation complete, accurate and on schedule for all current and new client prospects. This includes items such as assembly drawings, parts list, manufacturing instructions and test procedures.

Other responsibilities associated with the job include but are not limited to the following:

• Load Manufacturing Instructions and BOM in the MRP system.
• Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, components,    fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, test methods and    quality control standards.
• Work closely with the Quality Department on mechanical assembly and test issues.
• Maintain control of the master product files and engineering documentation under their assigned area of    responsibility.
• Assist in the investigation and evaluation of component defects and in-process, final and return product    nonconformance’s to determine root cause and appropriate corrective action.
• Work with component and equipment suppliers on manufacturing requirements.

Experience and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and at least five years direct related experience.
 

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, sitting, walking, handling, feeling with hands, reaching with arms
• Regular communication (hearing/speaking)
• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Frequently involves wet or humid conditions, working near moving or mechanical parts
• Occasional risk of electrical shock
• Vision requirements include: close, distant, color perception, peripheral, depth and ability to focus
• Noise conditions are moderate
